The legislators needs to reach a moral decision point just like the Sheriffs have. This isn’t a game, and the Sheriffs have said that they will lay down their very lives. Don’t pass laws that you aren’t willing to enforce by the power of the state police and national guard if necessary. If you don’t want to put DHS agents in the state penitentiary, then don’t waste your time. You will leave yourselves with no moral authority whatsoever with the federal government or your own constituency. You will look like cowards, and maybe you are. Leave the moral tests to the real men and stay out of the way. Courtroom brinksmanship is for the faint of heart.
Sheriffs in North Carolina have some soul searching to do in light of the leadership shown around the country by other Sheriffs
Ignore the claptrap about “caring for the children” and “making sure that weapons don’t fall into the hands of criminals.” It’s all a ruse designed by the anti-gun lobby. Universal background checks have nothing whatsoever to do with keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals, or a reduction in violence of any sort. The system, if set up, is a predecessor and necessary prerequisite to a national gun registry. This is evil to its very core.
So the next time you hear this claptrap, if it comes from ignorant people, educate them. If it comes from people who know better, call them a liar. If it comes from the NRA, tell them that they’re cowards and do not represent your interests. And then tell them that you want to see them thrown out on their heads so that they can be replaced with people who honor the second amendment.
Communications revolutions are now continuous and instantaneous, fickle and every changing, but always expanding ….. We can push or pull data around the world instantly, watch it go viral, or disappear into the void. If a printing press were a musket, the Internet is Gutenberg’s nuclear weapon.
The Founding Fathers had no possible way of predicting the breadth, depth, speed, or noise of modern communications when they wrote the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, but they made it last by enshrining principles over technology or technique
Freedom of speech and of the press is a beautiful thing, and despite the unforeseen developments in high speed printing and instantaneous global dissemination of both the beautiful and the perverse, the individual right of the freedom of speech has never been seriously questioned in this nation, because of the principles we hold dear.
Why is it then, that the following constitutional amendment, though again directed towards crucial individual rights, less complex in structure, and straightforward in design, is now under attack?
Grown men, who present themselves educated beings, attempt to claim that they have the right to infringe up the individual right to bear weapons in clear defiance of the Amendment, even though we seek to exercise our rights merely with evolutionary arms (modern small arms), not revolutionary arms (stealth fighters, rail guns, laser weapons, ICBMs).
Are our principles so fickle and flighty that they change from one Amendment to the next?
They do not.
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel once said. “It’s an opportunity to do things that you could not do before.”
This, in a nutshell, represents government’s response to last month’s school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Not three days after the tragedy, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein unveiled legislation banning the sale, transfer, importation or manufacture of any weapon capable of holding more than 10 rounds. Meanwhile U.S. Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said the Obama administration was committed to using “executive orders” and “executive action” to erode our Second Amendment rights – no matter what Congress (or, for that matter, the Constitution) has to say about it.
The rhetoric, on both sides of the fight, is the same as it has been for 50 years – long, long before Sandy Hook. The Left has been trying to disarm Americans and the Right has been trying to stop them.
Feinstein has admitted that her ‘new’ assault weapon ban bill was not written after Sandy Hook or Colorado. It has been a work in progress ever since the last ban expired. The Left is determined to disarm the People and are not only willing to climb onto piles of dead bodies to make their demands for that disarmament, but actually wait, watch and look forward to the next mass murder that can be used.
…. if reducing gun violence isn’t the objective of anti-Second Amendment legislation (and judging by the data, it couldn’t be), what is the goal?
It is to suppress the potential for popular resistance, naturally. After all, if you think government is out of control now, just wait and see what happens when we’ve been stripped of the protections in the Bill of Rights.
Not really. Suppressing resistance is not the goal but rather a tactic. The actual goal is something else.
If you intend to drive from point A to point B, then point B is the goal. If there is a brick wall between A and B, then you must find a way around it or destroy it. Destroying the wall is not the goal, but rather something you must do to achieve the goal of getting to point B.
For our Leftist liberal brethren, we the gun-owners are the brick wall between them and their real goal. They have wasted several decades trying to go around it – banning this, banning that. Petty regulations and not so petty. Unelected bureaus of tax collectors masquerading as law enforcement, the ATF is one of the biggest tools used by the liberals to get around that wall.
I think they’ve just about given up on finding a way around us. Now they have begun the process of destroying the ability of the American people to thwart their progress towards their real goal.
Does anyone build a big brick wall for no apparent reason? No, all brick walls have a purpose. And so do we. We and our guns are here for a reason. We are where we are so that we may stop the socialism, stop the tyranny – to stop the destruction of our Republic.
“How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual… as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of.”
~~ Suzanna Gratia Hupp
Take Note, this video was originally created in the mid ’90s … approximately 20 years ago. Note the buzzwords used – “assault rifle”, large magazines, etc. It’s the same as now.
We are now fighting the exact same battle with the exact same hoard of anti-gun bigots and for the exact same reasons.
IF we win this round with our rights intact, our guns in hand, our freedoms secure … we, or our children will be fighting the same people, the same tyranny, again – sooner or later.
It never ends …. until we lose. Then it’s over, all of it.
» NY Democrat pleads with Republican not to share document proposing confiscation of guns
A New York Assemblyman has pleaded with his Republican colleague not to release a list of Democrat proposals on gun control that seek to undermine the 2nd Amendment.
The State of New York this week passed some of the strictest gun control laws in the United States, effectively outlawing ‘assault weapons’ and limiting the size of magazines.
But if Republican Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin is to be believed, the New York State Democrats would have gone further if they could have. Much, much further.
It’s a contest! I just realized. The anti-gun bigots are in a contest with the communists to see who can be the most tyrannical. Who can be the most blatantly anti-American. Who can hawk the biggest loogie on the Constitution.
» Gun Owners Must Contact Schools In Proposed Legislation
Missouri state Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal wants parents to notify schools if they own a gun.
I suppose there’s some rule in the game by which the winner is judged … perhaps it’s the first one to get their ass stomped in public?
An administration that sought, for political purposes, to give the American people the idea that al-Qaeda had been “decimated” and was effectively out of commission had a clear motive during a presidential campaign to mislead the public about Benghazi. The fact that questions are still unanswered about this crime and that Clinton and President Obama seem more interested in burying this story along with the four Americans that died is an outrage that won’t be forgotten.
“What difference does it make” is an answer that ought to hang over Hillary Clinton for the rest of her public career.
Here ya go, Hillary. Here’s the difference that could have been made:
Some Algeria Attackers Are Placed at Benghazi
Several Egyptian members of the squad of militants that lay bloody siege to an Algerian gas complex last week also took part in the deadly attack on the United States Mission in Libya in September
National Security Malpractice
According to Hanlon’s razor, we should “never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.” The reader can decide whether any extreme of stupidity would account for this …..
Other than Israelis and Morsi’s own people, the mostly likely to get attacked with the F-16s are the Americans who made and paid for them. The Middle East becomes more unstable by the day; this is hardly the time to be dumping a fortune in sophisticated weaponry into the laps of hostile Islamists.
The line that to me best represents Obama’s mindset was, “Fidelity to our founding principles requires new responses to new challenges, that preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action.”
It was classic Obama.
Translated: We honor our founding principles by discarding them; individuals only exist for the community.
Dr. Cornel West called Barack Obama a “Rockefeller Republican in blackface” unworthy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s bible, which the president used during his second inauguration into office.
The philosopher and professor at Princeton University said that while he is glad that Mitt Romney didn’t win the presidential election, he also has problems with some of Obama’s policies.
West called it “morally obscene and spiritually profane” to spend $6 billion on an election and not have any kind of national conversation about the major problems the country faces.
Interesting, don’t you think? Cornel West having harsh words for Obama? Before you get any warm fuzzies over Corny, just bear in mind that Mr. West thinks Obama has wasted his last four years by not having fully established the total communist utopia that both of them seek.
When he complains about major problems of the country, he’s not talking about the problems that are destroying the Republic, killing the economy, shredding the constitution and all that kinda stuff.
To understand what Cornel West wants for America, review his profile/bio at DiscoverTheNetworks.org
Popular Marxist intellectual; describes himself as a “prophet”

Views America as a nation thoroughly infested with white racism
West calls himself a “progressive socialist” and has written that “Marxist thought is an indispensable tradition for freedom fighters.” In the 1990s he was a supporter of the New Party.

Reacting to complaints, Facebook admins began shutting down a conservative site. The complaints were over the following text posted:
“You Know What? Liberal Hypocrisy is Starting to Cause Me Actual Physical Pain.”
“Jay Carney can kiss my assular area,”
Yup, that’s purdy horrible stuff right there. Racist, do doubt. Threatening and just plain mean.
Unlike Leftist Facebooks:
“Ann Romney’s Amputated Breast”
“F*** Mitt Romney”
“Tea Party Can Kiss My A**”
“Rush Limbaugh is an Abject A******”
Newly-elected Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX) has introduced a bill to simply prohibit any institution from being able to call itself a “gun free zone.” This, he argues, isn’t only because the current law is an infringement of the Second Amendment of the Constitution, but because it is dangerous. Again, places where criminals know that there will not be guns are places they want to go to in order to commit crimes. It is common sense.
…. However, in this culture where common sense is held in such low regard, policy makers should consider an alternative: require entities that want to be “gun free” to protect themselves.
…. no corporate entity, school, or other institution has any business claiming to be a place free of guns – unless it has the personnel and technology to assure that it is so.
Well and good, I Reckon. However, too many of these Sheriffs are using the words “No one is going to take your guns“.
We already know that, Sheriff; or at least no one is going to easily take them. Maybe the problem is that we’re asking our Sheriffs the wrong questions?
The questions that should be asked of our Sheriffs and they should answer is “when theycome for our guns and the shooting starts, and you are forced to choose – whose back will you have?”
Guess what punishment this Muslim colonist in Australia got after being caught on camera smashing a police car
…. That’s right; no punishment at all …. Guess what he does for a living. That’s right; nothing
Congratulations, Omar. The future is yours. Moonbats have already slit the throat of Western Civilization. As soon as the corpse stops twitching, you can take over.
