Never mind the argument over the definition of “assault weapon” for a second.
Can someone tell me what is a “non-assault weapon” ?
That the fabricated term “assault weapon” has become the household expression for describing a semi-automatic, detachable magazine-fed rifle is a triumph for the virulently anti-gun Violence Policy Center, which has for decades contributed to and exploited the public’s lack of knowledge about these guns in order to demonize them, as they’ve openly acknowledged since 1988
…. The forcible citizen disarmament lobby, in an amusingly transparent attempt to further cloud the issue, sometimes changes the terminology when the guns are in government hands, referring to these scary “assault weapons” as “patrol rifles,” when in the hands of police officers–the exact same firearms get a brand new name when held by the government’s hired muscle.
To deny these arms’ utility for combat is to distance them from the central scope of the Second Amendment’s function.
So let us instead call them “regime change rifles.” In the terrible (and less “unthinkable” every day) event of the rise of a tyrannical regime in the United States, effective fighting arms in the hands of millions of American citizens will be essential for overthrowing it. Furthermore, the banning of such arms will be one of the surest signs that “regime change” has already become necessary.

Shortly after Obama unveiled the details of his policy, a number of Democrats from conservative, heavily rural states who are up for reelection in 2014 indicated they’re likely to oppose the measures.
The responses indicate how tough it will be for any legislation to move through Congress — and how tricky an issue it is for some rural-state Democrats facing reelection.
For my fellow North Carolinians:
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) was cautious regarding whether or not she supported the proposals, though she said she would look at the proposals with “an open mind.”
Lemme translate furya: She’s gonna wait and see which way the wind is blowing before she decides which sail to raise.
But she tosses some strong hints about which sail she prefers:
“We need to ensure that there are laws in place to prevent a tragedy like Sandy Hook from ever happening again. First and foremost, that will require a serious commonsense debate in Congress that looks at access to guns, access to mental health care and violent video games,” she said in a statement to The Hill.
Hagan has been in goose-lock-step with the Marxist (THHO)Obama regime from day one – nothing has changed except she’s no longer so sure that the people of N.C. aren’t paying attention. She would love to continue the march to outright socialist tyranny, as long as it doesn’t cost her a seat in D.C.
“Those who control the present, control the past
and those who control the past control the future.”
It is hard to dispute that the progressive left has a stranglehold on pop culture in America. Firmly entrenched in media, academia and the entertainment industry, and more emboldened than ever, it controls the present.
…. importantly, and this matters because it’s coming from someone who grew up in that culture — the very same culture that Barack Obama cut his teeth on — Horowitz suggests “Untold History” is the coming out of the communist left.
“I consider the reception of this latest Stone travesty to be a significant cultural event signifying a final coming out of the closet of what can only be termed the Communist left,” Horowitz wrote.
And only Horowitz can say such a thing.
Former U.S. Rep. Allen West is an example of what happens should a conservative dare broach the subject. In his case, the media and members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus set upon West with vigor when he implied there were communist influences in Congress. Taking a page out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” progressives ridiculed him until his message fell silent.
Yet, how do we best define Barack Obama’s economic policies? Wealth redistribution, class warfare? Is this not classic Marxism? Pitting the working class, the proletariat, against those who own the means of production, the bourgeoisie?
Every nightly newscast in South Florida, and probably a lot of other television markets around the country, includes what could fittingly be called the “Minority Crimes Report (MCR).” The MCR tells us how many people were shot, killed or maimed in the area’s minority neighborhoods the night before. The cumulative effect of these shootings produces the equivalent of a Sandy Hook massacre every few days, but that doesn’t fit the media’s narrative so that fact is never mentioned. Any objective review of the number of gunshot murders in America tells us they aren’t happening in Hasidic neighborhoods; or Scandinavian enclaves. The “hoods” where Blacks and Hispanics live are the killing zones of America.
Looking at these statistics one would think Black neighborhoods would be the center of meaningful demands for tougher sentences for those convicted of crimes in general and gun crimes in particular. Yet we hear nothing of the sort from either America’s “hoods” or newsrooms. That would entail actually assigning personal responsibility for this mess to absentee fathers and/or a Welfare system that celebrates the “Single mom” as a heroine in our society. As long as this is the case we’ll see Reverend Jones leading his marches and Democrats demanding that licensed gun owners have more of their rights stripped away, but those things will give us nothing but more dead Black teenagers.
Recent events in Mali and Libya, not to mention Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Pakistan, Bengla Desh, Somalia, and several other pleasure spots remind us — if such a reminder were necessary — that the Islamic world is, to put it mildly, not a fun place to be.
…. the mix of plentiful oil and the Islamic religion provides a lethal cocktail. Oil makes it economically unnecessary for that backward region to advance into the modern world and Islam gives it an ideological excuse for not advancing.
…. a giant portion of our globe — from North Africa into the Horn of Africa, up through the Arab world and into Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan — remains a largely Islamic tribal culture, contributing almost nothing to civilization while continually threatening to destroy it.
Most things that we read in the popular media about radical Islam are fantasies. They are promulgated in the mistaken belief that such dogmas will appease terrorists, or at least direct their ire elsewhere. But given the recent news — murdering in Algeria, war in Mali, the Syrian mess, and Libyan chaos — let us reexamine some of these more common heresies.
To the degree that the administration quietly kept in place most of the Bush-Cheney anti-terrorism protocols that it had in campaign-mode so opportunistically derided, and to the degree that its own loud new initiatives either were shelved or faced a storm of opposition in Congress, we have been kept safe for another four years. But if we believe any of the above five truisms, we won’t be for long.

The Green Movement’s worship of scarcity has changed the consumer landscape for the worse. Instead of big, powerful, and, most importantly, effective products, in 2012 consumers must suffer with pansy products. Sure, they are designed to save energy and make you feel good. But they just don’t work as well as the old, and usually cheaper, versions.
The Green Movement deserves most of the blame for bringing us these products that make life worse. But so do the Republicans and captains of industry who think capitulation to the environmental Left buys them peace.

You can click and read the whole thang – and you should – but I can summit furya:
The U.N. (largest parasite on the planet) is not satisfied with the trillions of dollars they’re already sucking out of the economy. They want more, and they’re more than willing to invoke mythology to justify a harder squeeze.
» Paul Ryan Booed at Inauguration
Use your imagination for about 0.6 seconds; if Obama had lost the election would the inauguration yesterday have gone off without a hitch? Or would the fires set by rioting leftists still be burning? Nationwide I mean.
Increasingly, doctors, nurses, counselors, and other abortion clinic workers are speaking out about the deep, dark secrets that go on within the clinics. Some of these workers quit because they can no longer deal with the reality of taking innocent human lives day after day after day. Sadly, some remain.
“It’s just- I mean it looks like a baby. It looks like a baby. And especially if you get one that comes out, that’s not piecemeal. And you know, I saw this one, and it had its fingers in its mouth…it makes me really sad that that had to happen, you know, but it doesn’t change my mind. It’s just hard. And it makes me just sort of stop and feel sad about it, the whole necessity of it. And also….it’s very warm when it comes into the sterile room because it’s been in the mother’s stomach. It feels like flesh, you know…”
From “Abortion at Work: Ideology and Practice in a Feminist Clinic” by Wendy Simonds, 1996. This work by a pro-choice author included…a chapter on how clinic workers emotionally deal with “aborted tissue.”
Don’t you have to wonder what kind of soul-twisting brain-washing is required to allow a medical professional to crush a baby, mash it into a ball, cut it into pieces – while referring to it as “tissue”, and remarking about how much it feels like real flesh?
Oh, and note she referred to the woman from whom the “tissue” was removed as “the mother”. What does that reveal?
Are these the same people who go ape-shit crazy over the use of a gun to murder multiple children? What kind of dilemma would they be in if required to use a gun to kill aborted babies?
Maybe that’s what Republicans in Congress should do – make legislation that abortions have to be performed with guns. The leftists, with their immunities to logic and common sense, would either stop aborting or grow to love guns – or both.
I like to make fun of Leonardo DiCaprio, but only when he’s being an astonishing hypocrite. In other words, only when he talks about the environment.
Silence, you lowly serfs. The lord of the manor is addressing you. From above. Literally. See? There’s his jet trail.
Or chem-trail, if you’re the Jonesy/Paulsy/Truther type (of idiot).
To expect anything resembling objective coverage from these ideologues would be preposterous. The “mainstream” media exists for a single purpose: to ram the leftist agenda down our throats. Despite his obvious unsuitability for the office, Obama has been placed and kept in the White House by the media to serve this purpose.
