» Report: UN to consider $1,300 green tax on US

Diplomats at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Conference in Rio de Janeiro next week will consider proposals that would levy taxes on American families and energy industries in order to support international efforts to combat global warming

….The proposal would provide “a target of .015 to .020 percent of gross national product for official development assistance to least developed countries.” That plan would cost $1,325 for an American family of four

Tolerating Intolerance : You get what you tolerate
» Everything’s Coming Up Jihad

…. a Muslim rejected by the NYPD because he said gays should be imprisoned, has sued the police for rejecting him because of his views. Farhan Doe isn’t alone in believing that, but unlike non-Muslim applicants, he comes out of a cultural and religious background in which imprisoning people because they offend your morals is the duty of law enforcement.

Farhan’s, (predictably, Jewish), lawyer says that his client has the right to believe whatever he pleases, and he has a point. But the question is with enough Farhans in the political, judicial and enforcement arms, how long will the rest of us have that right?

Tolerating people who will not tolerate you is fine, so long as they draw the line between ideas and action. The NYPD isn’t surveilling New Jersey mosques because there are some bigots in blue who dislike immigrants, as the Associated Press, the American Civil Liberties Union and the whole lawyer-media complex would like you to believe. It’s doing it because New York City’s biggest serial killers and aspiring serial killers are Muslims who kill in the name of their ideas.

Their biggest idea is that Allah had sent Mohammed to make Islam “victorious over all religions, even though the infidels may resist.” (Koran 61:9) And when the infidels resist, that’s when you kill their soldiers, sue their police officers, and blow up a few buildings. Then you complain to the media that the infidels are persecuting you by spying on the mosques where the “Big Idea” is declaimed to the faithful and refusing to allow you to join the police force just because you think that Islamic law supersedes American law.

Fast & Furious
A conspiracy to undermine the constitution – discovered, uncovered and brought into the sunlight by the new media – that would have otherwise gone completely undetected. Congress knows of it only because of the diligence and determination of a small hand-full of right-wing bloggers.

» More DOJ Whistleblowers Emerge, This Time From DC.

This surprising development has re-energized the investigation staff, which was widely rumored to be floundering after the reluctance, not to say opposition, of the GOP leadership became known some months ago. One source called these whistleblowers “game changers” while another, after speaking of the frustrations of recent months said, “But there sure is a sense of renewed enthusiasm here.”
….
The emergence of two more whistleblowers, this time from Eric Holder’s inner sanctum, may be one reason Congressman Issa sent this final offer to Attorney General Holder offering what sounds like one last chance to negotiate seriously, or else. When I commented upon this to one of the sources, “Oh, yeah, he’s got the ‘or else’ in his pocket . . . more than one actually.”

» NBC Discovers Fast and Furious

If you’re a faithful NBC Nightly News viewer, you might want to try a different channel. Your news is approximately 18 months behind.

Breitbart reports that Tuesday night Brian Williams’ newscast mentioned Operation Fast and Furious for the first time — ever. The ATF “gunwalking” scandal broke a year and a half ago with the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, and Attorney General Eric Holder has been hauled before Congress to testify about the program no less than nine times. And this is the first time Williams and company have mentioned it.

The old media is not just behind on this scandal, they mention it begrudgingly and only because they absolutely cannot ignore it or cover for it any longer.

» Auto Bailout or UAW Bailout? Taxpayer Losses Came from Subsidizing Union Compensation

The extra UAW subsidies cost $26.5 billion—more than the entire foreign aid budget in 2011. The Administration did not need to lose money to keep GM and Chrysler operating. The Detroit auto bailout was, in fact, a UAW bailout.

There is a pain between my ears, it starts everytime I try to think about and figger out the financial monkey-monking going on between broke nations – which now includes all nations.
» Italian Paradox: Italy is Borrowing money at 4-5% to Lend to Spain at 3%
But think about it I must. As must you, if you’re the type of person that tends to step off the track when you hear the train horn.

As a member of the EU, did Italy not already shuck a heap of dough for Spain’s bailout? Did Spain not have to chip in on the bailout of Greece? No? Yes? I dunno. Unfortunately, I don’t think the majority of the EU knows either.
Cyprus is next on the list for a bailout … unless some other socialist-experimenting EU member breaks in line. Will they have to borrow at 6% to loan to Italy at 4%? Or will they have to loan to Spain as well? Who’s making up all these goofy rules?
When Germany runs outta money and goes flat broke, will the EU bail them out? Seems a little iffy to me, since most of the money the EU is tossing around came from Germany.
Germany is like the EU version of the evil rich American that (THHO)Obama wants to tax more and the Occucommies want to eat. The rich American guys have so much money that the whole entire world population could live in luxury by siphoning off the spill-over, so the EU has Germany. And Germany will never run out of money to loan – right? so Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and dozens of other quasi-socialist governments can continue trying to get socialism to work.

Can’t say that I’d blame em, if the Germans start building tanks, practicing their goose step and construct big, wide roads into Europe.

Ok, I’m done rambling on that. Thanks for trying to follow along.

» Former GOP Justice lawyer: DOJ erred and DHS broke the law in fighting FL’s noncitizen voter purge

Liberals have described the purge as an attempted act of “voter suppression,” in part because so many of the targeted potential noncitizens — 87 percent — are minorities. Whites and Republicans are the least likely to face removal.

Is there no logic in suppressing the vote of non-citizens? We have to draw a line somewhere, don’t we? If we’re not going to mail absentee ballots for every election to each and every human on the face of the earth, then restricting the vote to only citizens of our country kinda makes a wee bit of sense.

» First rule for soft-coup-plotting socialists: lie, lie, and lie some more

…. we have somehow allowed a radical Leftist, an America-hating revolutionary who has for years sought to overthrow Constitutional government by any means he can, to snake his way into the Presidency–to stick out his forked tongue and swear an oath of office he never had any intention of honoring.

“New York City, you so big and tough ….”
» Because Nanny Bloomberg is too nice

This is how liberty is lost: not in sudden coups, but in little regulatory usurpations, each of which, on its own, might seem reasonable and “for our own good,” but, when added up, turn the freeborn citizen into an infantilized ward of the State.

New Yorkers, letting one little tyrant tell them what they can and cannot eat, drink, think, say and do. What a bunch of pussies.

» Will California Get In Touch With Its Inner Red State?

Last week’s victories for pension reform in two big California cities, San Jose and San Diego, might be just a harbinger of a bigger, statewide taxpayer rebellion in November. The stars seem to be aligning for just such an event.

» School District Shows Zero Intelligence With Spanish-Language Valedictory Speech

If he wants to put his Spanish to good use, he ought to take a trip to Bogota, Colombia; Lima, Peru; or even Tijuana, Mexico; to find out how Spanish-speaking youths literally stand in line to learn English, the international language of business, arts and diplomacy.

Sadly, nothing in his education seems to have encouraged him to learn anything of the sort.
