Apologies and Excuses
I am so sorry about having not posted for two days in a row. But it’s not my fault!
The dog ate my internet.
» Partisan Press? “That’s The Way It Was” With Cronkite
“And That’s The Way It Is,” became his famous closing. Today, people actually have the audacity to distrust the talking heads and seek info on “the way it is” from the thousands of sources available on the Internet.
in a stunt of questionable legality that should have disqualified him from ever holding his subsequent powerful position of public trust, Cronkite secretly wiretapped a committee room at the 1952 Republican National Convention in Chicago.
…. February, 1968 Cronkite declared that the result of the Tet Offensive was that “the Vietcong did not win by a knockout, but neither did we”
We now know that the Tet Offensive was a huge victory that left the NV reeling and defenseless – a thump on the forehead was all that was required to finish them off and declare total victory. But thanks to communists in America – Cronkite being their public address system – that victory was turned into defeat and we’re left with the images of Hueys being pushed off carriers into the sea to make more room for the mass hysterical exodus of whipped Americans fleeing.
And make no mistake about it, the current batch of screechers that serve as the talking face of the mainstream media are no less traitorous as was Unky Walter.
If every person claiming to be a doctor committed murder, we would indeed be correct in defining doctors as murderers, and we would be justified in disregarding the “core ideology” of the Hippocratic Oath.
However, a murderous doctor is an aberration — whereas murderous Communism is the norm. Thus, the Hippocratic Oath is a valid (if idealized) expression of doctors’ “core ideology” — whereas any attempt to characterize Communism by a benevolent “core ideology” is a lie.
Those enamored of True Communism’s noble “core ideology” may wonder: Why should Communism always result in repression and murder?
Because Communism’s noble “core ideology” is a lie — a cover for envy and hate. Communism replaces individual rights with class rights, then dehumanizes the “rich exploiter class” into an object of hate. (Much as Hitler’s National Socialism dehumanized Jews into hated “rich exploiters.”)
Communism exploits envy and instills hate by claiming that the “haves” have it because they stole it. The “haves” are oppressors, even murderers. How do you deal with a thief, an oppressor, a murderer? You punish them. You may even be justified in killing them. Under Communism, this is not murder, but “revolutionary justice” against the “criminal exploiter class.”
This story is a couple of days old, and therefore not so much in the new media headlines. I post it for two reasons.
One, it’s important. As the author relays, (THHO)Obama’s affiliation with communists was revealed in 08 by a few right-wingers trying to actually vette a presidential candidate – something the mainstream media
Two, my posting it will add one more hit to the number of returns on internet searchs for “Obama + communist”.
Barack Obama was, in fact, a member of the socialist New Party in the 1990s and sought its endorsement for the Illinois senate–contrary to the misrepresentations of Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008, and in spite of the efforts of Politico’s Ben Smith to quash the story.
…. evidence that the mainstream media can no longer ignore–and Obama can no longer deny.
Ben Smith of Politico wrote a classic “nothing to see here” story, taking LaBolt and New Party founder Joel Rogers at their word. The rest of the mainstream media, eagerly covering up for–and campaigning for–Obama, took Smith’s report as the definitive “debunking” of the New Party “smear” and failed to look further. The mocking tone of Smith’s article (“The dread New Party”) put the topic beyond the pale of polite debate.
Nebraska’s congressional delegation sent a justifiably angry letter to Administrator Lisa Jackson last week complaining that her Environmental Protection Agency had exceeded its legislative and constitutional authority by conducting drone surveillance flights over Nebraska and Iowa farms looking for violations of the Clean Water Act.
Charles Krauthammer calls drones instruments of war suited for war. They should not be used domestically, he says.
He notes that you can hear a police helicopter but not a drone over your house, and argues that “the first guy who uses a Second Amendment weapon to bring a drone down that’s been hovering over his house is going to be a folk hero in this country.”
Tuesday, June 5, 2012, will be remembered as the beginning of the long decline of the public-sector union. It will follow, and parallel, the shrinking of private-sector unions, now down to less than 7 percent of American workers. The abject failure of the unions to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) — the first such failure in U.S. history — marks the Icarus moment of government-union power. Wax wings melted, there’s nowhere to go but down.
The ultimate significance of Walker’s union reforms has been largely misunderstood.
the new law ended automatic government collection of union dues. That was the unexpressed and politically inexpressible issue. That was the reason the unions finally decided to gamble on a high-risk recall.
Without the thumb of the state tilting the scale by coerced collection, union membership became truly voluntary. Result? Newly freed members rushed for the exits. In less than one year, AFSCME, the second-largest public-sector union in Wisconsin, has lost more than 50 percent of its membership.

…. the deliciousness of their agonized, bitter wailing. Walker’s trouncing of these swine was a glimmer of true hope in a time when real Americans haven’t had a whole heck of a lot to be hopeful about.
If ever there was a referendum on public sector unions and the President’s idea of how government should work, it was with this election. If ever there was a measure of the muscle of the tea party movement, let it be judged by this election.
Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said in Detroit: “President Obama, this is your army … let’s take these sons of bitches out.”
So much for that.
The City of Phoenix has been locked into some crippling contracts with various public worker unions for longer than anyone can remember. Such a sweet deal had been cut for the unions – and let’s be clear here… it’s for the unions and their officers, not the workers – that the city was laying out millions of dollars for “release time” where union officials would receive pay for doing “union work.” This included officials who were payed full time wages – including mandatory overtime – for doing zero work for the public in their supposed regular jobs, instead working full time on union activities.

“Kill Scott Walker”: Angry libs flood Twitter with death threats after Wisconsin recall defeat
Liberals deplore everything about guns right up until they get their political butts kicked. But notice that most of them are calling for someone else to do the killing. All the leftist rhetoric about democracy and listening to the voice of the people takes a radical shift once the people decide they don’t want what the leftists are offering. The wailing pleas of the leftists for civility are forgotten when they pick a fight and get a well deserved spanking.
It’s as though their values are as inter-changeable as their masks, as though they browse the value closet in the morning to determine what their morals dictate for the day.
Although there have been accusations that the tea parties made similar threats, there has never been any proof that it happened …. ever.
While Wisconsin Gov. Walker (R) opponents have been bitching and moaning about his having received ‘out-of-state’ contributions, making for an ‘unfair’ recall election, data from the 2010 election (and so far in the 2012 election cycle) shows that Wisconsin Democrats top the list of out-of-state contributions (data below the fold). Fancy that!

Property Rights: Few have heard of Agenda 21, the U.N. plan for sustainable development that tosses property rights aside. But Alabama has, and it recently secured a victory as important as that over union power in Wisconsin.
* Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the
budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be mocked by the President
and labeled “extremists” by the media.
* Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from
the people than any nation in recorded history, but still spend over a
trillion dollars more than it has per year while the President complain that
there is not nearly enough money to do what he wants.
* Only in America could the people who pay 86% of all income taxes
be accused by the President of not paying their “fair share” on
behalf of the people who don’t pay any income taxes at all.

Forget the fact that Obama broke his promise of televising the healthcare debate on CSPAN. Forget how angry you were when Democrats used the procedure of reconciliation to pass ObamaCare.
A new report from the House Energy & Commerce Committee will make all of that seem small…
Welcome home, Marine We’re sorry it took so long to return you to your own wide and starry sky. But you’re now home.
Meet the girl in the picture considered iconic for all the wrong reasons.
Barack Obama had a “Polish Moment,” when during a ceremony to honor the late Jan Karski, he spoke of “Polish death camps.”
It is hard to imagine a more outrageously wrong statement than to speak of “Polish death camps” and the conventional conclusion has been that Barack Obama is every bit as ignorant as conservatives have feared. About four years ago at a speech in West Lafayette, Indiana, spoke of “…the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor,” with the clear implication that somehow this child of Hawaii had no clue at all about the attack on Pearl Harbor.
This fits in which what J.R. Dunn wrote last August how Obama stared passively for long minutes at the teleprompter until it feds him the words to speak. “We’re waiting,” our president explains, as the electronic brain which guides his mouth began to work. Think what that means: When Gerald Ford made his boneheaded statement about Poland being free in 1976, it was in the middle of a nationally televised presidential debate and it was came from Ford’s own mind, but when Obama talked of “Polish death camps” in his tribute to the Polish Catholic hero, Jan Karski, this was not his mistake.
Barack Obama read those lines, which his brain trust had written for the teleprompter. His experts researched, drafted, vetted and composed his egregious error and slandering an entire nation as well as the life of Jan Karski, the person presumably honored at the ceremony. These men behind Obama, apparently, are as profoundly ignorant as the president.
This also means that when Tommy Vietor of National Security Council explained last Wednesday “The president misspoke” about the Polish death camps, Vietor lied: Obama did not misspeak (nor did he misread.) What he read reflected the historical knowledge of his team of expert advisers knew, but these men know nothing beyond the rhetoric of rabid and radical leftism. A bright high school student could have reviewed the president’s teleprompted address and seen the glaring gaffe, but our nation is not in the hands of people as informed or wise as high school students. That is what the Jan Karski gaffe really means.
