Lost in the debate over whether the US should use military force to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons is the opportunity that arguably arose nearly three years ago to make the entire debate moot.
I can see why she’s “somewhat troubled.” If there’s one thing the Democratic Party stood for between 2003 and 2008, it’s the principle that the opposition party should tread lightly when criticizing the president lest it inflame opinion abroad.
As always when the world scrambles to condemn an affront to Islam, the urgency is driven not by “sensitivity” but by fear that innocents will start dying if proper respect isn’t quickly paid.
Anyway, don’t take Hillary’s nonsense personally. By now you should know that anytime an aggrieved lunatic runs amok, if Democrats can use it to scapegoat the right, they will. Just how they roll.
Rarely do we ask why it is that Muslims so often need saving from their dictators. Or why a party that campaigned on improving America’s reputation by promising not to bomb Muslims anymore, is now improving America’s reputation by bombing so many Muslims and so often that it makes George W. Bush look like a tie dyed hippie.
The Obama Administration has had a role in regime change in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya all in one year. Along with the other “Friends of Syria” it would like to bomb its way to regime change in Syria. The point of all this regime change is to replace totalitarian Muslim regimes with democratically elected totalitarian Muslim regimes on the theory that will make everyone happier.
The reason why Muslim countries end up with dictators can be seen in the streets of Libya where militias run wild and former members of the regime and anyone with black skin is dragged off the street for torture sessions and a bullet in the back of the head. Peel away the presidents, colonels and other suit wearing tyrants fronting for an oligarchy and that is what every Muslim country will be reduced to.
…. when Chrysler started running ads during the past two Super Bowls touting itself as a savior of Detroit, as its beacon of hope, it was perplexing.
Indiana recently passed right-to-work legislation. According to the Detroit News, Caterpillar soon after closed a plant in Ontario, Canada, (where coincidentally it was locked in a labor dispute with a union) and moved those jobs to a recently opened plant in Muncie, In. Caterpillar also recently chose not to build a plant employing 1,400 people in heavily-unionized Illinois, who competed with many states, citing the “business climate” and announced this month that it would located in right-to-work Athens, Ga
Chrysler and the UAW must drop its opposition to Michigan’s right-to-work legislation if it wants to pretend it cares
In the energy realm, as in every other, Democrats are all about instant gratification. They’ll disparage the idea of opening federal lands to domestic drilling because “it would take years for the new oil to come online” (never mind that if we’d opened them years ago, the oil would already be available!), but they’ll champion the depletion of the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve because tapping it might drive gas prices down quickly enough to ensure reelection.
…. it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the president decides to again tap the SPR. He did it once. What would stop him from doing it again? High gas prices are the wages of the president’s energy policies up to this point and he’ll do anything to avoid the electoral consequences of his policies. While his press secretary chatters about increased domestic energy production and eventual energy independence, the president has to know it’s too late; he can do very little to drive gas prices down now. Whatever he can do, he will, no matter how stupid it is for the long-range energy outlook of the country

Not only did President Obama block the monstrous Keystone XL pipeline — which would have helped reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil — but Schumer himself has helped block drilling throughout the United States.
They’ve been saying that drilling doesn’t matter for over 20 years now. They’re lying. They’ve been saying it would take 10 years to develop a new oil field. They’re lying.
Democrats are provably wounding America’s economy — and its national security posture — through their defective, Utopian schemes.

The #Occupy radicals have put together quite a record of accomplishment since September:
– 9 deaths, 5 found dead in tents, One found dead after 2 days
– 2 murders (Not counting the protester who strangled his parents and stuffed them in a car)
– Tens of millions of dollars in damages, layoffs, vandalism, law breaking
– Multiple Rapes
– Thousands of arrests
– Public masturbation
– Child molestation and baby abuse
But forget the facts – Homeland Security saw the #occupy protests as a peaceful movement.
In 2009 Homeland Security released a report suggesting the tea party was a sign of right-wing extremism.
