I haven’t been in a movie theater in over 10 years. I’m about to suspend my personal boycott.

» HuffPo Slams ‘Act of Valor’: Not Anti-Military, Anti-American Enough

Depending on how well “Act of Valor” does over the next few weeks, we may see left-wing critics use this line of attack to marginalize and belittle the film. You can’t take a movie seriously if it concludes that our armed forces are populated by honorable men; that’s propaganda, not art. We can also expect a sudden outbreak of hand-wringing over the social effects of a film–how many “unsuspecting” young men will be drawn to recruiting offices by a positive portrayal of Navy SEALs, which wasn’t that much of a factor for the critical discussion of Oscarbait about Palestinian suicide bombers.

If it pisses off the commies and radical lefties that much ….
Let’s do it.

» The Cult of Warm

Put set aside the partisan bickering and one professor accepting a view he had formerly rejected, while another rejects a view he had formerly accepted is all part of the normal scientific debate. The journey from hypothesis to rock solid consensus is a long one and it doesn’t end just because Al Gore makes a documentary or a few ads show crying polar bears. Positions are argued, minds change and then a century later the graduate students have fun mocking the ignorance of both sides. That’s science.

Unfortunately the Cult of Warm doesn’t accept that there is a debate.

» Pelosi: Federal Workers Carry Undue Burden

For some reason neither this article nor any of the mainstream media reports on this story actually spell out that federal workers currently pay only 0.8% towards their pensions. — Not even a whole one percent!

Meanwhile, fewer and fewer private sector employees have any kind of pension plan at all.

» In defense of Rick Santorum: no matter what Obama and the media say, this election is going to be about freedom, not contraception

Do Americans want a nation flooded with food-stamps and welfare payments, a European-style decline, and an out-of-control president who flouts the very Constitution upon which he took an oath to uphold?

Or do they want a return to founding principles, fiscal discipline and respect for the rule of law?

» Liberalism Applied to Biology

Monthly injections to retard puberty so that parents won’t have to admit that their boys are boys and their girls are girls cost $1,000.

Side effects of sex hormone therapy include blood clots and cancer. Chemical treatment is sometimes followed by nightmarish surgical mutilation. So much for “first, do no harm.”

» UN Arms Trade Treaty: It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘consensus’ is

Arms Trade Treaty proponents are attempting to change the rules mid-stream, prior to the upcoming Treaty negotiations in early July….
“Until now, ‘consensus’ has been understood by the US and others to mean 100-percent agreement with all the provisions of the ATT.”

… through redefinition and procedural manipulation, those bent on global gun control can transmute 100% to two-thirds to game the results

After so many decades trying to disarm the American people (and being only partially successful) the american Leftists are tired of waiting on the Constitution to die. They are now working to sell it to the global leftists.
If they can’t take the guns, maybe they can stand aside and let foreign entities do it for them.

How unsurprising that the Clintonian “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is” deception has now been reanimated to apply to the word “consensus.” And how revealing of the character of those behind the move.

» How ‘Occupy’ went wrong

When Occupy took over a foreclosed East New York home in December they promised to fix it up. Instead…. they destroyed it.

The headline leads you to believe the author is going to explain how Occupy went wrong. But all she does is provide yet another exhibit of Occupy behavior … random destruction for the sake of destruction. She can’t explain what went wrong because Occupy didn’t go wrong, they were wrong before it started.

~~ via HotAir : Occupy your homes produces predictable result

The proposal originally attracted the support of Wise Ahadzi, owner of a property in East New York who had been unable to make his mortgage payments and moved his family to a lower rent apartment while he sought to sort things out with the bank. Occupiers proposed that they would fix up the place for Mr. Ahadzi in exchange for taking part, and he agreed.
….
Wize Ahadzi is no longer such a fan of the Occupy movement. His former home stands as a testament to the destruction which was left behind after the police finally cleared the park. Perhaps if more of the Big Apple’s residents get to see this story it will serve as a reminder for this spring.

I’ll not be holding my breath waiting for New Yorkers to realize that rats don’t always have four legs.

» I Support Income Inequality and So Should You

If Liberals want income equality, let them go to Cuba. Yes, we do have income inequality in the United States, and it’s a good thing. If we had income equality, we would all be equally poor.
