» Your 3rd-Grader’s Social Studies Text Book, a Cornucopia of Left-Wing Crackpottery

Wondering whether elementary school students are truly indoctrinated in the left wing agenda? Well, wonder no more. They are; and it’s worse — far worse — than you can possibly imagine.
Consider, if you will, McGraw-Hill’s Our Democratic Heritage, a textbook designed for third-graders and published in 2010. If you’d assume that it was intended to teach kids about America’s founding and its institutions of government, you’d assume wrong.

» Playing the Percentages

After occupying the headlines for far too long, Occupy Wall Street was dispersed by a combination of inclement weather, mayoral irritation and having served their purpose. Occupy Oakland will go on doing what it can to depress the economy of an already economically depressed city by attacking its ports. The other Occupations are being moved along back to the Starbucks that spawned them.

As committed Warmists, the Occupiers might have expected that temperatures in the northeast and the midwest in November and December would feel just like a day at the beach in Santa Monica. But while the manipulated hockey stick graphs might have been on their side, the weather wasn’t. Neither were the already overstretched urban budgets turned inside out by having to pay for police overtime, electrical generators and cleanup duty. But most of all they had served their purpose as a launching pad for the Obama 2012 campaign.

Los Angeles is going to invest “hundreds of thousands of dollars” to renovate a million dollar “VIP” yacht used for, among other things, taking high school students on free tours of the harbor.
Big deal. Let L.A. squander its money!

It’s not their money.

“The port is using $489,000 in federal taxpayer stimulus money ….

“Violence has broken out again, with hooded youths throwing stones and police firing grenades….
The protests, of course, have been organized by unions unhappy with the announcement that public sector jobs will get the ax.
Greek police unions have called for the arrest of EU and International Monetary Fund officials. The crime? Daring to impose austerity measures and threatening union jobs.
Greece has promised to approve the new austerity measures by late Sunday, despite deep public resentment.

Violent clashes broke out in front of parliament earlier in the day, amid mass protests organized by unions, which launched a 48-hour general strike.

Greece, a bass-ackwards third-world nation of non-producers is the innovator in the game of redistribution of wealth – Europen wealth. The Greeks got to join the European Union country club because, well just because. In the span of a couple of decades or so, most Greeks have become very accustomed to the good life, bought with the large wads of borrowed money. They still can’t produce or create anything that serve to pay back all the borrowed cash. Their European ‘brothers’ have tolerated their excess because that is the socialist way. And socialism is cool, dont ya know.
Except when all the wealth has been redistributed out of existence, and everybody is in debt to everybody, then everybody wants their money back. And Greece can’t pay it back because they’ve blown it – piddled it away living the good life.
This part should sound very familiar to any American that’s been paying 2 cents worth of attention: When you don’t have the money to pay your bills, and you’ve tapped out all your relatives/friends bank accounts but are still unwilling to give up your borrowed extravagant lifestyle, whaddaya do? You riot. You protest. You pitch a hissy fit.
You Occupy.

Then you die.

» Samuel L. Jackson rants about Obama, race
I’ve heard that Jackson is in possession of high IQ; if true he carries it carefully concealed.

“I voted for Barack because he was black. ’Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them,” …. “That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean [bleep] to me.”

Jackson is now the poster boy for that part of the American people that scream at conservatives and call us racists. In their minds, there’s only one reason for our opposition to a president that is contrary to everything we believe in – and it happens to be the one same reason that they can quote in support of their undying loyalty to the first American communist president:

He’s Black.

For those of you that no hablo the language of the perpetually, incurably stupid racist – lemme translate:
“I voted for Barack because he was black …. [his] message didn’t mean [bleep] to me
In English: “I dont care about America or any of the issues, I only care about installing a black man.” With a big, black period.

And then, please make note that Jackson

“expressed his disappointment in the president, complaining that “in the end, he’s a politician.”

But Sammy, he’s still black, right? Your only qualification criteria, in your own stupid words, is his blackness. If Obama is still black he still passes your test for the greatest president ever.

Some would say that, at least, Jackson is honest in admitting his racism. But I say honesty has no role in his statements nor in his character. Because I don’t think he actually understands the ironic magnitude of what he has admitted.

New, convincing evidence indicates global warming is caused by cosmic rays and the sun — not humans
» Lawrence Solomon: Science getting settled

The science is now all-but-settled on global warming, convincing new evidence demonstrates, but Al Gore, the IPCC and other global warming doomsayers won’t be celebrating. The new findings point to cosmic rays and the sun — not human activities — as the dominant controller of climate on Earth.
The hypothesis that cosmic rays and the sun hold the key to the global warming debate has been Enemy No. 1 to the global warming establishment ever since it was first proposed by two scientists from the Danish Space Research Institute, at a 1996 scientific conference in the U.K. Within one day, the chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Bert Bolin, denounced the theory, saying, “I find the move from this pair scientifically extremely naive and irresponsible.” He then set about discrediting the theory, any journalist that gave the theory cre dence, and most of all the Danes presenting the theory — they soon found themselves vilified, marginalized and starved of funding, despite their impeccable scientific credentials.
CERN, and the Danes, have in all likelihood found the path to the Holy Grail of climate science. But the religion of climate science won’t yet permit a celebration of the find.

» The Galileo of Global Warming

…. the rules of the game, as played by the political-scientific establishment. If you have a study that you think backs up the global warming dogma, preface it with a press release drawing wildly speculative conclusions from the data. If you have a study that contradicts the global warming dogma, preface it with a press release declaring that no conclusions can be drawn.

Oh! I know! It’s a contest. There’s a bet on who can alienate (piss off) the most Christians.

» Chinese Plutocrats Hire Migrant Workers to Wait in Line for New iPhone 4; Thomas Friedman Hardest Hit

Someday I hope that Friedman, Sean Penn, Samuel L. Jackson — and the rest of the clueless, incredibly wealthy freaks who take America for granted — will get to experience life as a migrant in China.

Just for a couple of years. Or ten.

What will it matter? None of them will have the slightest clue why they’re about to die of starvation or exposure … or execution. They’ll blame it on Bush.

» Breitbart tells CPAC: I have videos of Obama in college and they’ll come out during the election

Naturally he’s coy about what he’s got, but it sounds like it has to do with O as a student radical. I wonder if big media, having heard this, will scramble to try to uncover the footage and put it out ASAP so that it’s old news by the time of the general election. Can’t wait to hear their explanations for why they couldn’t be bothered to do that last cycle.
