As a matter of personal taste, I’ve never cared much for Starbucks coffee. My tastes may be about to change.
The National Gun Victim’s Action Council (NGAC) will lead a national boycott of Starbucks Coffee products on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, to try to change the company’s “open carry” gun policy at its locations. Starbucks currently allows guns to be openly carried by patrons in its stores in the states where it is legal to do so.
The Supreme Court ruling upholding the 2nd amendment right to keep and bear as an individual right applicable in all states, cities and territories – was the end of the debate – right?
Wrong. You shoulda known better. The anti-gun bigots don’t care what the constitution says, or what the Supreme Court says the constitution says. The debate continues – unabated – until one side wins a definitive and undeniable victory. The anti-gunners, as always, have armed themselves with facts and truths of their own fabrication:
“Starbucks allowing guns to be carried in thousands of their stores significantly increases everyone’s risk of being a victim of gun violence,” said Elliot Fineman, CEO of the NGAC in a statement. “Open and conceal-and-carry are among the reasons there are 12,000 gun homicides each year in the U.S.”
That statement is a bald-face, in your face, lie. No documentation or reference or statistics are offered (or even hinted) as proof.
So, got gun? Wanna keep gun? Gotta fight. If yer not already in the fight, Starbucks is a good place to get started. You don’t have to carry a gun to make your point. Just order up a cup and make sure they know why you’re there.
The anti-gun bigots will not quit.
» Illinois tries again to ban so-called ‘assault weapons,’ .50 caliber rifles
…. in Illinois, it’s that time of year again–time for the push for extremist ‘gun control’ laws. Right on schedule, three were introduced yesterday
If HB 1294 passes, Acevedo and friends will have another problem. We “assault weapon” owners won’t feel compelled to present our “proof of ownership”–proving that our hands aren’t cold and dead will be enough–and Acevedo is not likely to enjoy that proof.
An Indiana-based energy-storage company, whose subsidiary received a $118.5 million stimulus grant from the Energy Department, filed for bankruptcy Thursday.
Ener1 is asking a federal bankruptcy court in New York to approve a plan to restructure the company’s debt and infuse $81 million in equity funding.
At the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Monday, the Rev. Luke Robinson said that pro-abortion activists want black leaders to be silent about what legalized abortion is doing to America because President Barack Obama is black.
“These so-called freedom fighters, just the instruments of the culture of death, they want us to be silent because the president is a black man,” said Rev. Robinson, who is pastor of the Quinn Chapel AME Church in Frederick, Md. “But he and his administration is leading this nation, and especially the African-Americans, to absolute destruction.”
Well, technically, I reckon you only need to be silent half the time – because (THHO)Obama’s honky half grants you some wiggle room.
Western females [have been] sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism for years and years…
And it is not just adults the Islamic animals prey on.
How many more western females will be made into sacrificial lambs, before we say –ENOUGH of this MADNESS???

» 36 Obama aides owe $833,000 in back taxes
How embarrassing this must be for President Obama, whose major speech theme so far this campaign season has been that every single American, no matter how rich, should pay their “fair share” of taxes.
Because how unfair — indeed, un-American — it is for an office worker like, say, Warren Buffet’s secretary to dutifully pay her taxes, while some well-to-do people with better educations and higher incomes end up paying a much smaller tax rate.
Or, worse, skipping their taxes altogether.
I seriously doubt there is any embarrassment.
Some argue that a “crisis” in Health Care was created to pass unprecedented Health Care legislation; that a “crisis” was attempted with the Fast and Furious gun-walker fiasco, in order to pass anti-gun legislation; that the 2008 financial crisis was used to “nationalize” banks and businesses and thus advance the administration’s socialist agenda.
To this end, many may observe and advance the argument that a crisis has been effected in the Middle East in order to advance the Obama administration’s energy policy, which includes, making petroleum or coal industry based energy prohibitively expensive so that the Obamistas can advance their “alternative energy” policies and expand government control over energy related areas of government, from setting a precedent for government to control what kinds of energy can be created, as in shutting down coal-fired plants based on environmental issues, to determining what kind of light bulbs citizens can use in their homes.
When EPA fails to act after multiple concerns are raised by the GAO, the NAS, and even the agency’s own inspector general, the only conclusion is that EPA is fraught with a dangerous willingness to disregard scientific evidence when it contradicts the agency’s political goals.
EPA’s science–the foundation of the Obama Administration’s damaging regulatory agenda–is not sound. And because the administration refuses to be transparent, we don’t have any clue whether anyone at the White House or EPA is even trying to fix the problem.
Retiring Rep. Barney Frank, a gay pioneer in Congress, said Thursday that he will marry his longtime partner, Jim Ready.
Frank spokesman Harry Gural said the liberal Massachusetts Democrat’s wedding will be in his home state, but that no date had been set.
No word yet on whether Mr. and Mr. Frank will continue their entrepreneurial enterprises of homer-sectshul prostitute brokering. Probably not gonna be as lucrative now that they won’t have taxpayer-funded facilities to house it.
