The Justice Department is trying to protect its political appointees from the Fast and Furious scandal by concealing an internal “smoking gun” report and other documents that acknowledge the role top officials played in the program that allowed firearms to flow illegally into Mexico, according to the head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The Gaza flotilla and the flytilla may have been failures, but they were also missed opportunities for Israel. It’s no secret that a portion of Israel’s tourist trade comes from “Protest Tourism.” From philosophy students and poetry PhD’s who want a chance to visit the Holy Land, throw some rocks at a soldier and have their pictures taken with AK-47 wielding terrorists. And it’s time that the Israeli tourist industry took their business seriously.
Rather than profiling them and giving them the heave ho at the airport, why not develop special tourism packages catering to their needs. Happily one company, Outraged Protest Tours is already on it.
By the first quarter of 2012, Outraged Protest Tours expects to be able to offer angry entitled brats a choice of three tour packages in Israel.
(1990), President George H. W. Bush was promised by the Democrats $2 in spending cuts for every $1 in tax increases … he mistakenly thought his opponents could be trusted on their side of the agreement … Not only did the $274 billion promised spending cuts never materialize, but also all the $137 billion in tax hikes slid through the Congress
» Thirty Problems with the “Gang of Six” Proposal
The best summary comes from the comments of that article:
The GOP is called the Stupid party for a reason, and the Democrats are known as the evil party for a reason. For some reason the GOP can never understand that the Democrats are evil ALL the time.
Evil always beats Stupid.
…
When the GOP compromises with the Dems we get something that is both stupid and evil.
» Los Angeles Follows Maywood Into Anarchy
Maywood, California has fallen to the Reconquista, having a 96% Hispanic population, largely consisting of illegal aliens. Consequently, it disbanded the police department’s traffic division, lest it inconvenience illegal aliens who characteristically drive without licenses, often blind drunk. Then it took the next step by disbanding the police department altogether. Los Angeles has also fallen to the Reconquista, having elected as mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of the radical anti-American outfit MEChA.
The IPCC, for its part, announced that the sun could not be the forcing factor in any major climate change because the solar irradiation was too small. IPCC did not, however, add up the other solar variations that could amplify the solar irradiation. Nor had the IPCC programmed its famed computer models with the knowledge of the Medieval Warming (950–1200 AD), the Roman Warming (200 BC–600 AD), or the big Holocene Warmings centered on 6,000 and 8,000 BC.
The IPCC apparently wanted to dismiss the sun as a climate factor – to leave room for a CO2 factor that has only a 22 percent correlation with our past thermometer record. Correlation is not causation – but the lack of CO2 correlation is deadly to the IPCC theory.
There is some twisted irony to the fact that Obama must have seen that job creation was recovering, thus he called last summer, “The Summer of Recovery.” But then because of his pushing through his unpopular Obamacare legislation, it in fact, stalled the recovery.
Now we have ongoing historically high unemployment. Obama’s greatest legislative victory will always be viewed as one of the main reasons our economy can’t seem to recover.
Ain’t that a kick?
Private-sector job creation initially recovered from the recession at a normal rate, leading to predictions last year of a “Recovery Summer.” Since April 2010, however, net private-sector job creation has stalled. Within two months of the passage of Obamacare, the job market stopped improving. This suggests that businesses are not exaggerating when they tell pollsters that the new health care law is holding back hiring.
Wasserman-Schultz is — provably — a Marxist hack. She is unconcerned with her constituents and seniors in particular. According to its Chief Actuary, Medicare is set to collapse in just ten short years. Instead of working to save it, this ludicrous excuse for a politician instead demonizes Paul Ryan’s courageous plan and the heroic Rep. Allen West.
Instead of working to save Medicare, she intones platitudes like “shared sacrifice”, “winning the future” and “giving tax breaks to big oil and millionaires.”
Hey, idiot: it’s not “big oil and millionaires” that destroyed Medicare: it’s you. You’re an embarrassment, Debbie. And I can’t wait until Allen West is House Speaker; I hope he puts your office in the basement with Melvin and his red stapler.
Apparently unions weren’t listening when Obama promised before the election that he would use environmental regulations to bankrupt coal plants. Hopefully people will start paying attention to the terrifying rhetoric the Manchurian Moonbat has spewed from the beginning.
In the end, there is no one who won’t be worse off for Obamunism except the bureaucrats inflicting it, who would rather be totalitarian lords of a dung heap than modest servants in a shining city on a hill.

» GOP Rep. Walsh Yells At Chris Matthews: ‘Obama Doesn’t Send A Thrill Up My Leg’
Matthews had to sleep face down that night, because Walsh kicked a blister on his butt.
Just because those in the Middle East have the outward appearance of modernity, it is an illusion. This is a region of the world dominated by a warrior cult called Islam. As such it will remain an enemy of the West and of each other. It is a huge horror show.
The topic of the protest is itself of little interest — something about forcing retailers to raise food prices in order to subsidize a wage hike for farmworkers in Florida.
Nor is it a significant news event; just another random protest on a random day on a random issue.
No, what makes it interesting is that it illustrates, in a perfect, encapsulated miniature way, the bullying and public-shaming tactics advocated by Saul Alinsky in his book Rules for Radicals.
Here’s the dirty little secret of this debate: If President Obama embraced the legislation Republicans passed last night, this crisis would be solved. The debt ceiling would be raised. But the president, his Democratic allies, and many members of the fourth estate have placed a higher priority on raising taxes than they have on averting a default and a financial collapse. Which tells you just about everything you need to know.
Today, we learned that since May, President Obama has experienced a 14-point negative shift in his job approval rating among North Carolina voters. ….
Governor Perdue should get in line now; the list of Democrats who are going to disassociate themselves from the president between now and the first Tuesday in November 2012 will be a long one.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday praised Greece for its economic policy “leadership.” Wait a minute: Isn’t this the country that lied to its creditors and has just stuck U.S. taxpayers with an IMF bailout?
….
Beset by riots from its own clueless citizens who refuse to recognize that it’s out of money, Greece has become pathetic. In such straits, it’s tempting to offer its government some encouragement. But the hard fact remains that Greece’s woes are self-made, making Clinton’s words of praise reek of weakness and disingenuity.
