» Missouri training teachers to carry concealed weapons in classrooms

Some Missouri school districts have decided the best way to thwart a massacre like the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012 is to train teachers to carry concealed weapons in the classroom.

Ten Missouri school districts have signed up for Shield Solutions training; three more have signed contracts.

But not everyone thinks it’s a good idea to arm teachers.

Let’s be clear, rat’chere. Not everyone thinks that when your kids are trapped in a school building by rampaging whackos (who are prepared to die and want to take your kids with them) think it’s a good idea for the teachers (who are charged with and accept custody of your kids) to be armed and properly equipped.

» When It Comes To Preventing School Shootings, These Teachers Are Taking Matters Into Their Own Hands

G.A. Buie, President-elect of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, says the program “could not be more wrong-headed.” Via Kansas City Star:

“We would be asking school officials, trained as educators, to make a quick transition from teacher to SWAT member, arrive on the scene, assess the situation, overcome the severe nervousness that naturally accompanies a deadly force incident and take immediate action before blood is shed,” Buie said.

“It’s a bit more than you can cover in a typical teacher in-service.”

Buie misses the obvious. It is not asking officials to make the transition. A transition takes place the moment a psycho-whack steps foot onto the school grounds – whether or not it has a gun. If the teachers are not armed and prepared for defense, then the transition is from educator to victim, from pupil to corpse. No ifs, no ands, no buts.
While being armed and maybe partially trained doesn’t guarantee the survival of teacher and student, it undeniably increases the odds. And when your child is on the other side of the fence with a monster, even a 0.1% increase in odds is welcome.

“Gun-free zone” signs might seem nicer to the gun-control crowd, but they won’t stop a shooter. The school districts’ utilization of this training could save lives – and we applaud the volunteers and Missouri legislature who are making it happen.

It was the Republicans in Washington and their allies in Mississippi who distributed fliers to Democrats in Mississippi calling conservatives racists, klansmen, Nazis, etc. It was a concerted effort by the GOP to beat their own base at any cost.

» The Palace Guard MSM Drops the Mask

note that Lerner’s email in which she debated targeting Chuck Grassley for an “examination” was sent via her Blackberry. Which simultaneously means that there’s material beyond her hard drive, and that, well, she has a Blackberry that should be subpoenaed as evidence before its memory is smashed or wiped, if it hasn’t been already. But then, as Glenn Reynolds notes, “As I’ve said, the emails that they didn’t destroy are bad enough that the emails that they did destroy must be truly awful.”

» ‘Blackberry smash’: Emails reveal detail about Lois Lerner that IRS chief Koskinen ‘didn’t know’

Reflex Action – an automatic instinctive unlearned reaction to a stimulus

We’ve all been there, right? You’re working at a big, busy office. Someone else’s mail gets dropped on your desk by accident. They don’t belong to your political Party, so naturally you target them for an IRS audit. It could happen to any of us.

Well what did we expect anyway?
There are no IRS tyrants hanging in trees, so why should EPA tyrants be skeered?

Given that the very subject of these hearings was the White House helping the EPA stonewall Congressional investigation, I’m sure a hearty laugh about the familiar “destroyed hard drive / no backups / what’s the Federal Records Act?” routine was had by all. It will be even funnier when American citizens who find themselves on the wrong side of Obama’s out-of-control EPA begin claiming they cannot provide certain information due to hard drive crashes.

This isn’t the first time the EPA has run into a little trouble with shady email practices. Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson actually created an imaginary alias, “Richard Windsor,” so she could have relaxed conversations with lobbyists.

In completely unrelated news, EPA employees in Denver have apparently taken to crapping in the hallways of their regional office building, prompting a stern memo from the Deputy Regional Administrator.

… is there any sight more heartwarming than the government organizing people to lobby itself on behalf of its own agenda? That’s what the fathers of the Revolution had in mind, when they pledged their lives and fortunes to fight the British crown.

If you are holding your breath in anticipation of necessary legal action from the Department of Justice, stop it.
Just stop, yer gonna hurt yerself.

In the middle of the recent revelations about the destruction of two years of emails of Lois Lerner and six other key IRS employees, notice what was not reported – any involvement by the FBI and the Justice Department in trying to obtain those records or trying to reconstruct the supposedly destroyed files.

Yet Eric Holder announced that he had supposedly opened a criminal investigation in May of 2013 that was put under the charge of an Obama campaign donor and he is has resisted all calls to appoint a special counsel to investigate IRS wrongdoing. A year after the investigation had been “opened,” neither the FBI nor the Justice Department had yet spoken to the victims of the IRS targeting.

Unlike past attorney generals who have upheld the highest ethical and professional standards, and have understood that their first duty is to the Constitution and the rule of law, Holder has demonstrated that he is driven by progressive ideology and loyalty to Barack Obama, not the interests of fair and impartial justice.

It has been Eric Holder who has advised and counseled the president on how to ignore, twist, break, and change the law, ignoring the constitutional requirements that devolve on both the president and the attorney general. In essence, Eric Holder has acted as Obama’s enforcer and his heat shield, protecting the president’ flank on numerous occasions and pushing his dream of transforming America into a progressive utopia

» 10 Reasons Why Iraq’s Bloodbath Is Not W’s Fault by Uncle Larry

1) … In 2010, Vice President Joe Biden called Iraq “one of the great achievements of this administration.” Obama ignored pleas by top generals who advised against pulling out without leaving a residual force.
2) … Nearly everybody assumed Saddam Hussein possessed stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction …

Assumptions based on reality … is that really an assumption?
Never mind, I forgot that I’m excerpting the words of an Unky-T.

3) … James Clapper, the current director of National Intelligence, said in 2003 that materials for WMD had “unquestionably” been moved out of Iraq, to Syria or perhaps other countries, in an effort to “destroy and disperse” evidence just before the war began …

10) The men and women who served in Iraq deserve better. They achieved great things under harsh and unforgiving circumstances. That the succeeding commander-in-chief did not preserve their hard-fought gains ought not devalue what they accomplished. Perhaps the returning soldiers might more readily adjust to civilian life if Americans truly understood and appreciated what they achieved in Iraq. They did their jobs — and their mission was just, important and noble.

Is it too late for NASA/NOAA hard drive crash?
» Global warming data FAKED by government to fit climate change fictions

… the largest scientific fraud ever uncovered, NASA and the NOAA have been caught red-handed altering historical temperature data to produce a “climate change narrative” that defies reality.
… deliberately altered by NASA and NOAA scientists in a politically-motivated attempt to rewrite history and claim global warming is causing U.S. temperatures to trend upward
… Because the actual historical temperature record doesn’t fit the frenzied, doomsday narrative of global warming being fronted today on the political stage, the data were simply altered using “computer models” and then published as fact.

… What’s even more interesting is that even the EPA’s “Heat Wave Index” data further support the notion that the U.S. was far hotter in the 1930’s than it is today.

» Saddam’s WMDs: The Left’s Iraq Lies Exposed

The recent turmoil in Iraq brought on by the rise of the Sunni extremist group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has ironically struck a blow to the American Left’s endlessly repeated narrative that there were no weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in Iraq prior to the war. The State Department and other U.S. government officials have revealed that ISIS now occupies the Al Muthanna Chemicals Weapons Complex. Al Muthanna was Saddam Hussein’s primary chemical weapons facility, and it is located less than 50 miles from Baghdad.

The Obama administration claims that the weapons in that facility, which include sarin, mustard gas, and nerve agent VX, manufactured to prosecute the war against Iran in the 1980s, do not pose a threat because they are old, contaminated and hard to move.

“Stockpiles of chemical munitions are still stored there,” it stated. “The most dangerous ones have been declared to the UN and are sealed in bunkers. Although declared, the bunkers’ contents have yet to be confirmed.”

… contention that the weapons could not be moved safely even by terrorists is hardly reassuring when one considers the reality that ISIS uses suicide bombings as one of it chief military tactics.

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I just read that the U.N. – back when we were supposedly looking for Saddam’s WMDs – skipped over some really nasty stuff when putting together their list of nasty stuff they found – because it was too nasty to look at? And in the end, they concluded and reported that there was never any nasty stuff and Bush lied.
Lemme Summit Furya
There’s a new jihad in town. The ISIS is the purest form of islam, marching through the middle east on roads paved with human heads. They are so bloodily, barbarically islamic they turn the stomachs of Al-Q, the muslim bruddahood, hamas and the boko butchers.
Now they own bunkers that are crammed full of some of the nastiest weaponry ever devised short of nukes. And the same idiots that decided that the contents were too nasty to even count back then are too nasty for use by a pack of stark-raving muslim loonies that use children as bomb delivery vehicles.

» Iraq Jihadists in the U.K.

… (ISIS) fighters threatening the government in Baghdad were also plotting terror attacks on the UK.
… Britain could not ignore the security threat the UK now faced from jihadists in Iraq and Syria.

Britain may not ignore it, but it’s not going to do very much about it.

A BBC reporter said today on the TV that this problem is the same all over the world. He should have added — but didn’t — “wherever there are Muslims.” Muslim-free countries don’t experience this problem at all.

… warning came from the top counter-terrorism expert Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan Police’s assistant commissioner and head of specialist operations, who said that Britain will feel the repercussions of Syria and the rise of Islamic extremism within its own borders for “for many, many, many years to come.”

She added that young “British” Muslims who have gone to fight in Syria might commit violence and terrorist acts when they return.

How can British people not have noticed that, over the years, their country’s Muslims — whose number has steadily increased — have indeed become more vociferous, oppressive, demanding, aggressive and dangerous?

Hillary: “You Have to be a Little Bit Crazy to Run for President”
There you have it, she just announced.

So What, Indeed
» Court: Ground Zero Cross makes atheists sick? So what?

The 17-foot-tall steel beam was found in the rubble of the World Trade Center towers after the 9-11 attacks, and it was erected at the scene and became a revered attraction.

But American Atheists, in its court filings, suggested that even the thought of it made them nervous and gave them an upset stomach.

First, let’s get the definition of atheism straight.

a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

From Wikipedia (experts on nothing, I admit):

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities

So how do symbols of a deity that doesn’t exist make someone sick?

Leftist “Atheists” that constantly screech about a religion that respects their opinion while ignoring the religion that promises to kill them … sounds a lot like the Leftist “Feminists” that constantly screech about a war on women while ignoring the oppression, abuse and murder of women, because they’re women, by followers of the religion that promises to kill the atheists. And that sounds a lot like the the Leftist “Homosexuals” that constantly screech about discrimination and denial of imaginary rights while ignoring the hanging, stoning and beheading of homos by the same religion-cult that murders women and kills atheists.
Leftist “Civil Rights Advocates”, constantly screeching about the racism of the tea party folks while admitting (no, make that bragging) that they voted for the first blatantly communist president based on the color of his skin.

Do I need to continue?
I think the tie that binds these mongrel ingrates together is the word “Leftist”. Because, believe or not, there are atheists who are conservative. There are feminists who are conservative. There are gays who are conservative. There are blacks who are conservative.
So let’s drop the pretense. It’s not about religion. It’s not about gender. It’s not about sexual orientation. It’s not about race.

It’s about political cultural bias. This is a struggle between Right and Left.

Baxter suggests the courts stop taking cases where people claim they are offended, or get an upset stomach, because of someone’s religious views.
