» Mom’s Demanding ‘Action’ Don’t Understand ‘Concealed’

“If I see someone carrying a gun in public, in a store, how do I know if they have a permit or not?” Chen said. “Unless they paste their permit on their sleeve, it’s hard to tell a criminal from a law-abiding ‘good guy’ with a gun.”

Well for one, if they’re not trying to rob you or the store while pushing their shopping cart and picking up a package of Doritos, you probably have nothing to worry about. But we all know that’s not really the issue …

» Ruger: Job growth will be in N. Carolina

“We really tapped out the workforce in both our manufacturing communities. We have people commuting more than an hour for basic entry manufacturing jobs, and that is kind of ridiculous. So this has given us access to a really well-educated, skilled workforce in North Carolina.”

» HA-HA-HA: Bloomberg writer thinks Americans tell pollsters about their guns

Barrett honestly thinks that after decades of anti-gun media bias and politically-shaped polls, that gun owners are going to be honest about what they own with some guy on the phone?

Those most obviously in danger of being arrested at this time are 106 rifle owners and and 108 magazine owners who tried to register their arms, too late. The government knows exact who they are through their botched registrations, and sent them letters giving them options on how to surrender their arms and magazines.

A woman claiming to be the wife of one of these 106 rifle owners called Lt. Vance, and got into a very heated discussion with him.

Will the police go to my home if my husband refuses to give up a weapon that was formally legal, and has now been made illegal, by a corrupt legislator … ? Will the police go to my home and threaten my family?

    Because I’m scared to death.

His response is, as the title of the article suggests, is stunning.

» An Open Letter to the Legislative Tyrants of Connecticut.

And, yes, I said tyrants. You bought it, in the form of the woefully misnamed “Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety,” you own it, you are certainly — if you get your way — going to pay for it like it or not, so you might as well own up to it. Look in the mirror. That’s what a tyrant in the 21st Century looks like …

» Widow shares true story of how gun control laws contributed to her husband’s murder

Goeser had a valid concealed carry permit and was legally allowed to carry a pistol, which she normally did for self-defense.

She and her husband, Ben, owned a mobile karaoke business and the restaurant in which they were set up that night served alcohol, prohibiting Goeser from legally carrying her handgun into the establishment.

She kept her gun locked in her car outside while the couple worked inside.

However, the man who would claim her husband’s life simply ignored the “No Guns Allowed” sign posted outside and carried his handgun inside anyway, concealed under his jacket.

» New IRS Rules Called ‘Campaign Finance Regulation Disguised as Tax Regulation’

… “this is a president and his team of political operatives who have always understood the power of speech, but more importantly, the power of denying it to their political opponents.”

In 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court decided Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission, which overturned many previous restrictions on campaign spending and allowed nearly unlimited spending by corporations and other groups to influence elections.

After Citizens United, the Senate was unable to pass the Democracy Is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections (DISCLOSE) Act, sponsored by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.). This led Democrats to turn their attention to the tax code to push their campaign finance reform through the IRS and circumvent Republicans

» HARRY REID CALLS OBAMACARE VICTIMS LIARS

War on Women alert! Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid just called a female leukemia patient a liar.

I doubt many imperiled 2014 Democrats – such as Sen. Kay Hagan of North Carolina, who dodged her own press conference to avoid answering questions about ObamaCare – are going to embrace Reid’s tactic of claiming all the ObamaCare horror stories are false. ”You’re all lying scumbag tools of the Koch Brothers, now vote for me” is not a winning campaign slogan. Neither is “I sign off on monster bills I don’t understand, and that’s why you must return me to Congress.”

The leukemia patient he refers to is named Julie Boonstra. Her story has already been “fact checked” about ten thousand times more thoroughly than anything the current President of the United States ever said or did.

Yes, conservative groups and unhappy ObamaCare sufferers, you must live up to a level of rigorous accuracy vastly higher than anything faced by the people who gave us this multi-trillion-dollar boondoggle. No, it’s not fair. Stop waiting for fair. It’s not coming.

The game is now all about suppressing dissent, forcing everyone to Embrace Teh Suck. Not long ago, Democrats were swearing up and down that hardly anyone was losing their insurance; before that, they said Healthcare.gov worked great, its only real problem being an unexpectedly heavy traffic load caused by its incredible popularity. They tried claiming nobody would lose their jobs because of ObamaCare, and when that fiction became impossible to sustain, they said it was awesome that fewer people will work because of the ACA – why, that was one of its delightful hidden goals all along! The will of the public can be subdued by pushing it to accept things it knows are untrue.

Just when I thought the Leader of the Senate couldn’t possibly become more out of touch with the American people, he regrettably proves me wrong. By claiming that all of the tragic stories currently unfolding from coast are coast due to Obamacare are somehow fake, Harry Reid is attacking the integrity of countless victims of a terrible law that he helped force onto a country that never wanted it.

PRIORITIES: Obama slashes billions from defense, refuses to cut billions in fraudulent payments to illegal aliens

A congressional crackdown on illegal immigrants getting checks from the IRS has some cracks in it.

The proposed legislation doesn’t stop illegals from obtaining Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers and receiving more $1,000 child tax-credit checks.
Last year, those “illegal” payouts totaled more than $4.2 billion.

» Wanted: The Rule of Law

American mainstream media, nostalgic for Vietnam War protests, tend to regard protests as the province of the political Left. They hailed the Occupy Wall Street encampments, despite their violent crime and gauzy pronouncements, as heralding an uprising of the virtuous 99 percent. Despite such encouragement, Occupy fizzled and polls showed that the demand for redressing “income inequality” was so weak that, contrary to advance word, President Obama scarcely mentioned the phrase in his State of the Union address.

Certainly the protesters in Ukraine and Venezuela are not seeking the left-wing goal of income redistribution. The Ukrainians are not seeking a larger welfare state, and the Venezuelans have learned from hard experience that Chávez’s policies produced not redistribution but economic destruction.

The rule of law is hard to establish and easy to dismantle. Something to keep in mind as our president keeps unilaterally rewriting Obamacare and our IRS targets his political opponents.

» Obama’s Race Cops Now Targeting Student Loans

The administration hopes to pressure loan “modifications,” arguing that college debt has a “disparate impact” on minorities and leads to dropouts and unemployment.
Studies, however, tell a different story about why black students pay more for loans and have higher college dropout rates, despite special treatment. Racism has little if anything to do with it.

Credit problems explain loan differences.

And if you look at the worst college “dropout factories,” as Obama calls colleges with low graduation rates, you find they’re virtually all black or urban colleges run by black administrators, according to a survey by the Education Sector, an independent think tank.
It’s absurd to think they’re trying to fail or bankrupt black students.
Make no mistake, they’re not the real target. And make no further mistake: It’s the White House directing CFPB’s crackdown on higher education.

» Greenpeace Co-Founder Tells Truth About Climate Change

A Greenpeace co-founder testified in Congress on Tuesday about global warming. What he said is hardly what anyone would expect.

“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years,” … “If there were such a proof, it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.”

Moore didn’t hold back in his Senate appearance. He quickly zeroed in on the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and strongly scolded it for claiming there is a “95-100% probability” that man “has been the dominant cause of” global warming. Those numbers, he said, have been invented.

» Boxer warns Keystone will cause cancer

“I do believe the public health impacts are something that average people can really relate to because they know cancer is the second leading cause of death in this country — heart disease is number one — and all of this filthy air contributes to both of those,” she said …. “As tar sands oil flows to our gulf coast refineries it will increase toxic pollution that already plagues communities like Port Arthur Texas, which is near many refineries that will process tar sands,”

Without the pipeline the oil will be delivered to refineries in Texas via railcars. If the presence of that oil in Texas will produce cancer-causing filthy Texas air, is it better to spread that out along the thousands of miles of railroads?
Boxer is lying out of desperation – nothing new there, she’s been a Panic-Liar since she first stepped foot in D.C.

» Sharia in the USA: Court Suppresses “Innocence of Muslims”

It wouldn’t be politically correct to point out that Islam is a blood-thirsty cult that sanctifies killing those associated with resistance to it. It’s easier just to suppress the video, and to live on your knees rather than die on your feet — especially if living on your feet would entail challenging a “victim” group near the top tier of the liberal caste system.

» My retirement

Some have asked what I’ve been doing in retirement.
Well, I applied for a building permit for a new house. It was going to be 100 ft tall and 400 ft wide, with 12 gun turrets at various heights, and windows all over the place and a loud outside entertainment sound system. It would have parking for 200 cars, and I was going to paint it snot green with pink trim.
The City Council told me; “Forget it… AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN!”
So, I sent in the application again, but this time I called it a ‘Mosque’.
Work starts on Monday.
I love this country. It’s the government that scares the shit out of me.
