an agent involved in reviewing tax exempt applications from conservative groups told a committee investigator that the agency is still targeting Tea Party groups, three months after the IRS scandal erupted.
That we can talk about Japan as a victory is attributable to that decision to use the bomb. Without it, Japan would have been another Iraq or Vietnam, we might have won it at a terrible cost, but it would have destroyed our willingness to fight any future wars and would have given the USSR an early victory in Asia.
More people died in the Battle of Okinawa on both sides than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 9 out of 10 buildings were destroyed. As much as a third of the island’s population committed suicide, fled into caves that were bombed, were used as human shields and were killed when American soldiers found themselves unable to distinguish between Japanese soldiers posing as civilians and actual civilians.
The United States military did not understand the fanatical mindset of its enemies, but it did understand that they had to be fought with equal ruthlessness. And now, nearly seventy years later, on another hot August, we find ourselves in another seemingly unwinnable war.
America was haunted by Hiroshima, when it should have been haunted by Okinawa. And so now it is haunted by Hasan and by his Al Qaeda comrades and by the Taliban and by entire networks of terrorist groups forming because we pulled our punches in the War on Terror.
We don’t understand Hasan and Nidal Hasan doesn’t understand us. He would have had no trouble understanding the America of 1945 that meant what it said, but he is lost trying to comprehend the America of 2013 which only wants to be liked, even when it’s dropping bombs.
Hasan wants us to know that he hates us, but our leaders are terrified of the idea of being hated. Ever since Hiroshima, we want the world to love us. Our enemies aren’t afraid to be feared and hated.
» New U.S. Ambassador to UN: U.S. Should Give Up a “Pinch of Sovereignty”
It’s just a pinch. No biggie. Unless a pinch is all that’s left.
There is no higher national security principle than defending American sovereignty, especially at the United Nations, where it has been demonstrated time and time again that when it comes to authority over the United States, when you give the UN a pinch, they will take a mile.
My “senators” both voted in confirmation of this traitor.
Kay Hagan did as I expected her to do, voted in lockstep with the Obama admin – like the good little commie-puppet she is.
Richard Burr also voted for the traitor.
Is he totally ignorant of Power’s history and reputation? Was he not aware of what she has promised and promoted? If so, he’s derelict.
Or did he just go along to get along? She was going to be confirmed anyway, why stand up for the truth, why be the stick in the mud? Again … derelict.
And no nads in the sack.
“At what point does our so-called government cease to be legitimate? At what point do we declare it to be a criminal entity?”
» NEW Spying Scandal — Is This One the Last Straw?
The NSA is spying on you and sharing this information with the DEA
The DEA is then sharing this information with local law enforcement
If you get arrested because of this, abandon all hope because …
Law enforcement is hiding where the evidence came from
This means you cannot effectively challenge the evidence in court
But it gets worse…
The DEA unit responsible for this program — the ominous sounding Special Operations Division — is a secret organization. It cannot be investigated by defense attorneys or called into court. Even the location of the Special Operations Division is classified.
~~ via Doug Ross : America’s UberGovernment. And the rest of us.
It’s dawning on a lot more people that a government run by secret spymasters is illegitimate even by the most conventional, mainstream standards.
This won’t end well. This never ends well. There is no “within the system” way to rid ourselves of this vast deadly parasite, the UberGovernment of the United States of America.
A 350-word entry in the Internal Revenue Manual instructed agents of the U.S. tax agency to omit any reference to tips supplied by the DEA’s Special Operations Division, especially from affidavits, court proceedings or investigative files.
Even us law and order types are getting completely weirded out at this point. I’m waiting to find out the FDA is spying on my through nanobots in my milk.
… 17 newspaper employees have been laid off. Among them was the editor who published the gun owner’s information. This is the first time I’ve seen online media clearly punish a bricks and mortar media firm.

I added the question mark to the headline because, at this point, it is supposition. However, when you read the timeline of events as stated by Krauthammer, it easily becomes more concrete than mere supposition.
The newly confirmed chief of the Environmental Protection Agency, Gina McCarthy wasted no time in taking on the opponents of the administration plan to “crack down of global warming pollution.”
The EPA bolsters their case with drastic claims of all the people who will die if we don’t eliminate the particular kind of pollution Ms. McCarthy is pushing on any particular day. The EPA has gotten away with improbable claims about future deaths from whatever pollutant the EPA wants to ban. Their unfounded regulations have been one of the most effective job killers of the past five years.
One of these days, perhaps sooner than I realize, the ultimate pollutant will be announced by the EPA. At some point, they will finally dispense with all the side-effects alarmism, gird their loins and come right out with the root cause of all their aches and pains … capitalism.
Capitalism, (the one-word definition of methods and practices of free people), is the word that’s always on the tip of their tongues when they talk about pollutants, poisons, globalZ-warmZ and the hundreds of other scare threads they follow. All those threads are being woven together into a rope. At the other end of that rope is a noose around the neck of capitalism.
And what is wrong with capitalism? What’s so bad about it?
Consider what must replace it.
Oddly enough, as the EPA moves forward with some of the most costly regulations in history, they have been unwilling to reveal to the American people the data they use to justify their multibillion dollar regulatory agenda. Their new regulation would cost upwards of $90 billion a year, but you are supposed to take their science on faith. They care about the planet, they wouldn’t lie, would they?
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus recently threatened that the Republicans would boycott any 2016 primary debates moderated by NBC and CNN unless the networks pulled the plug on their plans to air a documentary and a miniseries on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Not even worth a comment.
One particular argument that continues to get under my skin occurs each time a liberal gets backed into the corner and is forced to confront his belief against the Constitution. Like clockwork, I can expect that liberal to immediately revert to the old line, “Well, the Constitution is a living document and is meant to grow with the times.” Yet, I’ve always found it amazing that it only seems to grow towards a liberal idealogy.
While they know nothing of their heritage and current events that affect their lives on a daily basis, each one of them knows by memory the current BRAVO schedule and who is appearing on Big Brother and American Idol.
In these dark days for patriots it isn’t easy to find good news. But a ray of hope has cut through the storm clouds in South Carolina, where a RINO matched for his disgraceful treachery only by John McStain is facing resistance …
I would summon up some outrage, but this isn’t even the hundredth trashiest thing that Obama has done in the White House. This is a cynical government that couldn’t buy class with the entire treasury at its disposal.
